I grew up in Indiana, surrounded by corn, tall trees, and lots of space for imagination. Even now, I think the corn fields and woods whisper stories to me when I go for a walk.
Because I couldn’t stop! Ever since I was young, I’ve loved making up characters and adventures. Writing children’s stories lets me share that playful, magical world with kids everywhere.
From everyday life—but with a twist! A funny cat, a peach tree in the yard, or even a silly laugh can spark a whole story. I always ask myself, “What if…?” and suddenly a vampire loves tomatoes, or a monster can’t stop laughing.
Yes! I love writing near a window where I can see the trees outside. Sometimes I write at my desk, sometimes at the kitchen table with a cup of tea, and sometimes with my cat curled up next to me.
Writing is one of my favorite jobs, but I also work with children and families as a behavioral therapist. That means I spend a lot of time helping kids grow, learn, and discover their strengths. Both jobs inspire each other!
That’s a tough one! But I think Arnold the Vampire has a special place in my heart. He’s a little different, he’s gentle, and he reminds us that you don’t have to fit in with everyone else to be wonderful.
I love Roald Dahl. His books are funny, a little strange, and always full of imagination—just the kind of stories that make kids want to keep reading.

About
Mr. G likes to keep things a bit mysterious. When he’s not exploring the ancient pyramids of Egypt, sipping tea on a mountain in China, or making his way through the jungles of South America, Mr. G still finds the time to write children’s books that capture the imagination, spirit, and wonder of his many readers. Although it’s unclear what his next adventure will be, one thing’s for certain: whatever story he creates next will be an exciting journey for all to enjoy.
